Yes, I believe we landed on the moon. However, there is a small minority of people who think this was a Holllywood scripted movie made for propaganda purposes. I would like to understand more regarding this persistent belief.
I cite the following similar case example: In the aftermath of 9/11, and the ensuing investigation, which proved that Saddam Hussein was not involved in the attacks, there are still people who believed he was involved. "In a study published in the journal Sociological Inquiry, it was stated that such unsubstantiated beliefs are "a serious challenge to democratic theory and practice". Co-author Steven Hoffman, Ph.D.
, from University at Buffalo, says, "Our data shows substantial support for a cognitive theory known as 'motivated reasoning,' which suggests that rather than search rationally for information that either confirms or disconfirms a particular belief, people actually seek out information that confirms what they already believe. " "In fact," the study reports, "for the most part people completely ignore contrary information. "The argument here is that people get deeply attached to their beliefs.
Over the course of the 2004 presidential campaign, several polls showed that majorities of respondents believed that Saddam Hussein was either partly or largely responsible for the 9/11 attacks, a percentage that declined very slowly, dipping below 50 percent only in late 2003. €? Hope this sheds some further light on this problem.
Duenhsiyen Incidentally the Apollo program was one of the most expensive projects ever undertaken by the human race, taking approximately 15.5 billion man-hours to complete!
I would like to believe it to be true. I think it is. We are planning to revisit the Moon and then go to Mars.
How can we even think about Mars if we have not been to the Moon.
Yes. Asking them to swear to it on the Bible basically says you are doubting their integrity Here is a video of Buzz Aldrin's response to someone calling him a coward and a liar for saying he walked in the moon when he didn't. youtube.com/watch?v=ZOo6aHSY8hU.
I am among the 94% of Americans who have no doubt that the astronauts walked on the moon. Not one of them has ever denied it. The man who was stalking the astronauts demanding that they swear on his Bible (Bart Sibrel) was making a conspiracy movie and calling the astronauts liars and cowards and thiefs.
Why would an astronaut, an American hero, answer to a creep like that? He's lucky they didn't all knock him on his rear end like 72 year old Buzz Aldrin did. The Soviets were monitoring our space flight, they never had a problem with it.
Six percent of Americans probably believe the moon is made of green cheese.
.There were people watching and listening in on the conversations it is highly unlikely that this could have been faked. Now there is another theory that said that when we went, there were already other beings up there with bases and they told us to get off. There are a couple of links I added that have assorted conspiracies that are made up but actually more plausible than the faked mission.
Why do I say this because even in the 60s someone would have known that the missions were faked and all those people that worked on the program, some would have blabbed not to mention our enemies however as unlikely as there being an alien base is it is still more plausible than a faked landing.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
