There is no "sting operation." The ENTIRE operation is: 1) Have under-cover agents steer gangs to particular firearms dealers. 2) Alert those dealers that as part of a BATFE operation, they should let the suspicious sales go through.
That's all. Did you think there was a 3rd step, like following the illicit buyers and arresting them? There isn't.
That's why BATFE Field-Agents rolled-over on the administration when THEY realized there was no "other agency" handling matters after step 2. Raise your hand if you think it's a coincidence this "operation" was done right before Obama announced we need stronger gun-sales controls, citing a spike in border violence (and not mentioning guns HE SUPPLIED were being used to kill BATFE and Border Patrol men.) You with your hand up. You're an idiot.
The little twit who wrote that got a few things wrong: first, it was not "the Obama administration" selling guns. It was a sting set up by law enforcement that went wrong - which happens now and then under every administration. The screw-ups were mid-level management.
Secondly, it was and is improper to blame Obama - no one man can micromanage everything that happens on his watch when the topic is the government of an entire nation. It would be proper only if he fails to follow up and appoint more qualified people to run things at ATF...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
