I think that Cena will eventually break Flair's record, and I have no problem with it. I think, given Flair's renewed role in the WWE, it'll work fine. Now, I'm the biggest John Cena fan you'll ever meet, but his championship reigns aren't exactly one hundred percent sterling.
There are quite a few "reigns" on his resume that lasted no more than a few moments, and others which lasted under 30 or 40 days. That doesn't impress me. Jeff Hardy has had more world championship titles in the WWE than Shawn Michaels, but I don't think you'll find anyone who will say that he's a "better" champion than HBK.
Yes, the number of reigns is important, it is note-worthy, but quality matters too. Cena won his first world title in 2005, and between that time and 2009 he was only a three-time champion. That's it.
He had three WWE Championship reigns totaling a very, very impressive 793 days. That's incredible. Now contrast that with his performances post-2009.
Counting his current run, he's had eight WWE titles and two World Heavyweight Championships (his first WHC reigns started at the end of 2008, but I'm still counting it here) in just three and a half years. The longest of those was just 84 days, his first WHC and his WWE title after Wrestlemania 26. In that span he's had a TON of runs with the belt that have gone for 21 days, 14 days, 28 days.
That builds the number of times he's had the title, sure, but it's not amazing or anything. You still have to count them for continuity purposes, but it doesn't blow me away either. Cena has had five really amazing title reigns, six if you count this one (which has gotten off to a good start).
BQ: Well, Zach Ryder has already burned out. He's not a low-level jobber on Superstars and Saturday Morning Slam and rarely even appears on RAW or Smackdown anymore. Fandango is hot right now, but people, the WWE foremost among them, seem to be overlooking the fact that his entire scope of popularity is founded on exactly one huge crowd reaction.
The WWE is pushing "Fandangoing" hard, but it'll burn out, as those kinds of fads always do.
Gosh, I hope you're trolling. People already hate him because of how overrated he is. If also he break Ric Flair's record for the most title, people will hate him even more, that would not even be funny.
Ric Flair deserve it way more than John Cena. If you think Cena work ethic is better than Flair's, you have clearly not seen his matches with Ricky Steamboat. No Cena match can top that.
Cena only have good chemistry in the ring with CM Punk or Shawn Michaels which is understandable, both are extremely good wrestlers and can have good matches with anyone.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
