I don't have a wall clock or a functioning watch. What I have besides the computer though is the cable box. I usually set all the other clocks (like the bedroom, and stove/microwave) from the cable box.
Interestingly, my sister has a cuckoo clock. She never has it running because it's really annoying, but it reminds me of the cuckoo clock that was on my grandparents wall. That thing was always running because that was the only way we knew what time it was.
Interesting, I never really thought about putting a clock on the wall.
I have clocks in most of the rooms of my house. I don't have one in my office so the computer clock is the only one I have. It's just right there is it's more convenient to look down to see the time.
If I had a clock in here I probably wouldn't use it because I'm so used to looking at my computer clock.
Computer clock....I don't own a real 'clock' or 'watch' I used to think I couldn't live without wearing a watch, that was about 20 years ago, but I found clocks everywhere so I didn't bother buying one. Then when I started using computers at home and at work I stopped using a clock at home because I never looked at it and it needs batteries all the time. And now all our phones have clocks so I see the time at home on the computer and when I'm out on the phone.
I don't think I'll ever wear a watch again :) oh, and in the kitchen the microwave has a clock too so I use that if I'm in the kitchen.
I still have a fancy little wall clock the chimes the notes of classic lullabies every hour on the hour that I purchased in Germany about 6 years ago. However, since I have moved two years ago, I have not yet hung it on a wall in my home. To find out the time, I typically refer to my stove-top clock (my main source of time during the day, which is mostly spent somewhere in the vicinity of my kitchen), my cell phone, or my computer clock. My lack of wall clocks, however, is quite inconvenient when I spend time in my lower level, where there is practically no other time source other than my television set.
If I am watching a movie on DVD and do not have my computer handy, I usually have no clue what time it is.
I look at my computer clock more because I spend almost all of my day in front of computer. While in class and teaching, I pay attention to the class wall clock more because I only need to look to the back to see what time is it. I also look at the wall clock just as I am awake in the morning.
When I go out, I tend not to wear a watch (unless to work) and I check the time on my cellphone.
I have clocks in every room of the house too, including the bathroom. Lol I spend most of my time on my computer and that's where I look for the time. I have my TV set up right next to me and on the stand is a DVR player with the time in big bold numbers.
I do occasionally look at that for the time. :-).
In terms of number of times a day, I probably technically use my computer clock most often. However, that's primarily because it's always in the corner of my screen. I also use physical clocks, my watch and my cell phone quite frequently to check the time.
If I don't have my watch on and am not in front of the computer, I may even have to go all the way to the kitchen to see what time it is. I also use the clock in my car to check the time whenever I'm behind the wheel. If I'm in the car, it's the only clock I use.
I'm not sure I'd use my computer clock that often, except for the fact that it's always right there for viewing whenever I'm on my computer. It's so much easier when you don't even have to lift a finger to see the time.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
