Does a 1993 Yamaha FZR 1000 need engine oil and transmission fluid seperately....How much Transmission fluid do you put into it?

Generally, unit construction engines ( of which this is one) ,do not require a separate addition of oil into their transmissions. They share the oil with the engine and clutch. Therefore selection of a crankcase lubricant should meet JASO MA requirements so as to be compatible with clutch lining materials.

Never use oil with any form of friction modifier's.

About 5-6 months ago, I came across MaxLife when I was looking for transmission fluid at Murray's Auto Parts Store. I was reading through some of the labels when I came across Valvoline's MaxLife Transmission Fluid. The label read that it was good for my type of transmission, so I went with it.

My transmission is working fine and I have no problem recommending it to all of my friends. I also used the Valvoline Gear Oil in both my transfer case and rear differential. I recently bought a used 1988 Volvo 740 with 155,000 miles from the original owner.

The transmission shifted a little hard, although it was not too severe. As soon as I got the car, I wanted to change the oil and ATF. I decided to give the Valvoline MaxLife products a try (even though Valvoline is not my usual brand choice).

The benefits of the MaxLife ATF were immediate... smoother shifting and a more positive feel to the transmission. Using this product seemed like a more economical solution than buying regular ATF and then adding expensive tranmission fluid additives myself. I have tried this method in the past and had mixed results.

It's a great product for older cars... all in one bottle! The transmission wasn't shifting right on my 1993 van with 146,000 miles. So, I used MaxLife transmission fluid and now it's working perfectly!

Please thank your engineers for developing some fluid that saved me $1,000 for a new transmission! 250,000 original miles on an 83 T bird with AOD. Transmission was intermittently slipping.

Changed the filter and added 3 qts max. No more slip.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
