I need to send payment somewhere but I don't want them to have my name. I know a money order is an option, but i'm not sure that they will accept the payment and I doubt I can get the money back once I purchase a money order. Might be the same with a bank check, i'm not sure.

A bank check will have the bank's info, but still require your signature. A bank check, also known as a cashier's check, will have the bank's name prominently displayed, but you will be the one who has to sign it so, while it won't be printed on there like a personal check, your name will still be on there. If you do a Google Image search for "cashier's check" you can see a few examples: images.google.com/images?q=cashier%27s+c... Wikipedia: Cashier's checks feature the name of the issuing bank in a prominent location, usually the upper left-hand corner or upper center of the check. In addition, they are generally produced with enhanced security features, including watermarks, security thread, color-shifting ink, and special bond paper.
These are designed to decrease the vulnerability to counterfeit items. In order to be recognized as a cashier's check, words to that effect must be included in a prominent place on the front of the item. From Investopedia: A check written by a financial institution on its own funds.
It is then signed by a representative of the financial institution and made payable to a third party. A customers who purchases a cashier's check pays for the full face value of the check and usually also pays a small premium for the service. These checks are secured by the funds of the issuer - usually a bank - and include the name of a payee (the entity to which the check is payable), and the name of the remitter (the entity that paid for the check).
An individual could use a cashier's check instead of a personal check to guarantee that his or her funds for payment are available. A cashier's check is secured because the amount of the check must first be deposited by the individual into the issuing institution's own account. The person or entity to whom the check is made out is then guaranteed to receive the money when cashing the check.
Cashier's checks differ from certified checks in that the funds owing on a cashier's check are taken from the issuer's account, while the funds owing on a certified check are taken from the remitter's account. Sources: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cashier's_check .
The name will be listed on a bank check If you are making a legitimate payment to a legitimate company, a money order is actually preferable to a check. I've never heard of anyone not accepting a money order. But I am concerned as to why you want your identity hidden.
Since you are set on doing this, make sure the account number, or some other identifying factor is written on or accompanies the money order.
The name of the account holder All checks no matter who writes you a check will have the account holder on it as well as the name of the bank. How can one tell if the check is legitimate (yes there are fraud checks) if you don't know who wrote it? Even businesses have the company's name preprinted on the checks to pay all the employees..
Most likely not certified check is like getting a money order from the bank instead of from post office. But it cost $10-20 to buy a bank certified check, and $20+ to void the check if you decide to cancel it. If it's not cashed, money is still in your bank account.
Money order purchased from post office is not refundable. Sources: experience .
1 it's a confusing situation but totally legitimate... I spell my first name two different ways and the payment won't be accepted if the name on the check doesn't match the name on the account i'm paying. But I don't have a bank with my name spelled the way it is on the account! So i'm trying to make a payment without a name so there is nothing to match.
Don't see any other way about it. But i'm worried that they won't accept the payment without the name, so I want to keep refund options open... thanks .

Can I pay a cheque that has my name on it into some one else's bank account.
How do I sell my items if I have no bank account.
Anybody know any bank I can open as a joint account without going through credit report or background check.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
