Does a married man ever divorce from his wife and children to marry his girlfriend?

It is bred into us to need it. To SOME extent. Even infant monkeys will not thrive if they are not held, or able to cuddle up to a soft warm source of nourishment.

Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O60TYAIgC4 This is a very old experiment and it has been known for many decades (probably nowadays, such experimentation would be banned because of emotional cruelty). It is bred into the species to bond, or the infant will not survive. And as early man grew up, he needed a tribe in order to survive in the wild.

So it is bred into us. But we are supposed to learn how to bond with ourselves, and to become LESS dependent on the affection and intimacy of others. Perhaps you did not get adequate nurturing when you were young.

Certainly, you have not developed inner strength or self-esteem, if you turn to others with such an intense need. Psychology tells us that until we ARE able to be comfortable alone, we are not likely to make relationships work well or long. Because our dependency makes us selfish rather than generous and caring.

With such an intense need as what you have, I would suggest you get some therapy and be prepared to work long and hard on achieving autonomy. Yes, we need others, and happiness comes from caring and sharing with others. But it has to come from a sense of being whole and complete, because we cannot care or share until we no longer do it out of selfish need.

I tried to convince my wife that I can't live without daily blowies. She called my bluff but still obliges me on a semi regular basis.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
