The question is much too broad for a simple yes or no answer. If the PO is a sworn law enforcement officer and the circumstances of the situation are such that they believe some other law is being violated they may expand their LEO powers and donduct themselves as any other officer might given the same circumstances For instance: If the PO is checking up on the parolee but in doing so his suspicions are aroused that you may be in violation of the law (e.g. : carrying weapons, contraband, or drugs) he can exercise his police powers on you as well.
