Does Anti-aircraft artillery protect zones of airspace?

I.e. , what kind of anti-aircraft artilery Some of it's very good and very powerfull, but only good for short bursts. Others can be defeated by blocking the visibility of the artillery gunner.

In general, because of the speed of fighter aircraft these days, missiles are the prefered defense, and artillery is only used as a last desperate measure when the jet has got through the missile defenses and is coming in too fast and too close on the ship for missiles to be able to target and seek fast enough.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
