Here are some... AVG 8.0 is a good, free antivirus program that can also get rid of some of the more serious malware infections. Spybot has always been good, but they are adding a lot of junk to it, so make sure you don't install TeaTimer with it. SuperAntispyware (sounds hokey, but it's great) has been the absolute most powerful anti-malware scanner I have ever seen and it's free for home use.

There is also a program called Ccleaner that deletes unneeded files to hel help clear disk space, which includes your temporary folders which are where most common infections are found. Remember to always keep your scanners up to date and scan while Windows is in safe mode to make sure you find everything. AVG 8.0 (Symantec Corporate edition is good too, if you can get it for free) Spybot 1.6 SUPERAntispyware Not much will get past that combo.

How about... AVG FREE I never have a problem with this, infact at one time I would only use Norton but began to find it resource hungry so uninstalled and installed avg free and it was the best thing I ever did, after uninstalling norton and running avg it found a few incidents that norton had let through! Well thats my opinion...

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool The safest program of all is the Malicious Software Removal tool distributed periodically with Windows Update. If you aren't updating Windows regularly, get the tool here: support.microsoft.com/?kbid=890830 From the article: The Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool differs from an antivirus product in three key ways: • The tool removes malicious software from an already-infected computer. Antivirus products block malicious software from running on a computer. It is significantly more desirable to block malicious software from running on a computer than to remove it after infection.

• The tool removes only specific prevalent malicious software. Specific prevalent malicious software is a small subset of all the malicious software that exists today. • The tool focuses on the detection and removal of active malicious software.

Active malicious software is malicious software that is currently running on the computer. The tool cannot remove malicious software that is not running. However, an antivirus product can perform this task.

Microsoft cautions that MRT is not a substitute for an Antivirus/Antispyware tool, but rather a supplement to it. However, running the tool can eliminate any active malicious programs, which often try to disable popular antivirus programs. Once it's cleaned up an ailing OS, you should be able to install another product to protect the system and get rid of threats that are waiting to be activated, e.g. , by a malicious website.

Two products I can recommend are these: Spybot Search and Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html AVG Free: http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition Both are well-known and have good reputations. Sources: Cited .

1 AVG in combination with SpyBot and Wise Registry Cleaner. All free, all excellent, all offering free updates as malware comes out, and quite comprehensive if you turn off all the automatic features and run them manually yourself once every two weeks. Get the downloads off of CNET (just do a Google search) as they are safe from there and rated there by other users...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
