Yes, a very good tea called Uvin tea, (bearberry tea) I'm sure you could get it at a health shop, or special chemist shop, that sells special herbal teas. I have used this tea, and know many people who have used it, and with very good results.
Among the remedies for home treatment of bladder infections offered, (but not guaranteed) are: *Drinking a 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water *Eat a cup of pineapple, which contains an enzyme called Bromelain that may help *Flush the body with water by drinking 8 oz of water an hour to try to flush out the bacteria *Vitamin C *Eating cranberries or blueberries, or drinking cranberry juice is the most common treatment, but the amount needed to ingest can be overwhelming, especially if the taste isn't appealing. Cranberry pills are available at pharmacies and health stores and can be taken instead of drinking the juice. Attention should be paid to the cranberry concentrate per pill and the dosage per day since the different brands offer a variety in strengths.
Your cousin, though, may want to consider seeing a doctor since men are less prone to getting the infections. Men do get them, it's just a little unusual.
