Does anyone know any good (i.e. cool but cheap!) hotels/places to stay in LA and San Francisco?

I'm not sure what your definition of cheap is. When I went on vacation in San Francisco, I stayed at two different boutique hotels that were quite nice. The first was Hotel Griffon and the other I don't recall the name of but it was in the Union Square area.In both cases, I found special deals on Travelzoo where they were approximately half price and $110-$140 per night is my recollection.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
