Does anyone know?!? Why do England not play in the Confederations cup?

The Confederations Cup is by invite only to Qualified Countries. For England to have qualified they would have needed to have won either the European Championships and/or World Cup. Here are the reasons why the Countries Qualified.

Egypt 2008 (CAF Africa Cup of Nations winner) Egypt will represent the African continent at South Africa 2009 after clinching their second successive CAF Africa Cup of Nations title at the tournament's 26th edition. The competition, which was held in Ghana between 20 January to 10 February 2008 in the cities of Accra and Sekondi, saw the Pharaohs repeat their 2006 triumph by beating Cameroon 1-0 in the final. Iraq (AFC Asian Cup 2007 winner) Iraq even surprised their own supporters as they won their first continental title following overcoming three-time Asian champions Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the final.

Playing in only their sixth Asian Cup finals, Iraq swept past the likes of Australia and Korea Republic to set up a showdown with the Saudis, where tournament joint-top scorer Younis Mahmoud scored the only goal of the game. Spain (UEFA EURO 2008 winner) Spain will be representing Europe at South Africa 2009 after defeating Germany 1-0 in the final of the UEFA European Championships, held in Austria and Switzerland between 7 and 29 June. Spain's triumph was their first major tournament title in 44 years; their only other success in the European Championships came in 1964.

USA (2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup winner) Host nation USA mounted a successful defence of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2007 thanks to a dramatic 2-1 victory over Mexico in the final. The USA's second continental crown in succession was their fourth overall, bringing them level with arch-rivals Mexico. The triumph also means the USA sealed a berth at the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009.

New Zealand (OFC Nations Cup 2007/08 winner) New Zealand outmuscled New Caledonia, Fiji and Vanuatu in the OFC Nations Cup to earn the right to represent Oceania for the third time, having appeared at the competition in 10 February 20081 and 2003. Brazil (Copa America 2007 winner) Brazil powered to their second consecutive continental title when they pulled off an emphatic 3-0 win over Argentina in the final of the tournament held in Venezuela. In doing so they lifted the trophy for the eighth time in their history and the fourth time in the last five competitions.

South Africa (Host Country - World Cup 2010, The Confederations Cup ios a dry run to test if South Africa's Infrastructure can cope) As a host of the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009, South Africa automatically qualify for the tournament and will therefore be the second team from Africa, alongside the winner of the CAF African Nations Cup 2008 in Ghana. Italy (World Cup Winners 2006) As the reigning world champions, Italy qualify automatically for the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009, and will be the second team from Europe alongside the winner of UEFA EURO 2008 in Switzerland and Austria. As i'm a fan of Flags of the World the flags of the nations in the Confederations Cup are attached below.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
