Does anyone on here know of any good melancholy bands?

Try depeche mode album violator or exciter.

Placebo. Every song of theirs is downtrodden and sad. Even their attempt at "happy" songs makes a person want to cry.

If you want melancholy, Placebo is the epitome of it. Also, Blue October has some pretty down songs and vibes. Cheer up, guy.

Placebo - Have a few of their CD's, plus YouTube music videos. First heard them from their song "Every You Every Me" in a movie which they apparently would not approve their song for unless it had a tragic ending.

I'd go for R.e. M there are some really great meloncholy songs like perfect circle , everybody hurts , night. If you want heavily meloncholic then go for deftones .

Some great songs are xerces , mein , sextape , teenager etc.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
