Does anyone own the Maxi-Cosi Mico car seat used for the Quinny stroller? Any reviews much appreciated?

Reviews for Maxi-Cosi Mico infant car seat Reviewer: Anonymous , Orlando, FL | Date: July 11, 2007 Just wanted to clarify. The Mico does not look like the cabriofix in Europe. This is confusing, because at the time I am submitting this review,the picture shows the cabriofix.( I spoke with customer service and they will be uploading the actual Mico picture as soon as it becomes available to them).

In the mean time, you can google the maxi cosi usa website to see a picture of the Mico. The cabrio, though similar, will NOT fit on the Mico base, nor will the American Mico version fit onto the bugaboo stroller. It is specifically designed for the quinny buzz and zapp strollers.At this time they are not bringing out an adapter for the bugaboos.(I contacted the US manufacturer of this seat and got the info directly from them).

I will give this seat 3 stars because I don't think it is as neat as the European version. Especially the roll-up sunshade that hooks on to the carrying handle and folds entirely into the seat, appears to be lacking and now looks like all the other American seats (although the description states the opposite.)The fact that it is not compatible with the bugaboo takes away an additional star. Well, sorry for the book.

I also own the Graco Snug-a-ride and the Maxi Cosi is so much more superior.

Both in Design and function. Also, Maxi Cosi is compatible with the Bugaboo (my primary stroller) and the Quinny Zapp (Secondary & Travel Stroller). This seat is extremely light weight, and the side protection is a great safety feature.

In addition, my baby outgrew the Graco Snug-a-ride before she outgrew this seat. We bought the easybase in addition (in Europe)and it is a very secure and easy system. It an excellent car seat.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
