I don't think deforestation has anything to do with the ozone layer - it was CFCs that have thinned it. They are really restricted, now, but I suppose there are still plenty of air conditioners and refrigeratorss leaking CFC's in landfills, and I think the substitute products are still CFC's, only somewhat less reactive with ozone (but not sure about that). Forests are "carbon sinks" so for every tree you have, that's quite a bit of carbon that isn't in the atmosphere.
Oceans are another big carbon sink. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
