I've lived in Britain for 10 years and it is still my number one pet peeve! I see people drop everything from their sweet wrappers to entire takeaway meals and worse; i.e. Flytipping.
The reason it keeps happening is because parents do it in front of their kids and that's what they learn. It disgusts me. The thing that bugs me the most is the attitude people have that some council worker will come along behind them and clean up after them.
The people who are likely to say this are people who don't even pay their council tax. I think it must be a form of rebellion against society, which is sad. I am happy to hear whenever a local person shows their disgust at this problem.
At least some people do care. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
