You just described me EXACTLY to a perfect freaking tee! I'am homeschooled too and I'am SO bored all the time and lonely. I went to public school from kindergarten to 5th grade and started an online homeschooling program in 6th grade.
I hated my public school and thought a permanent vacation through homeschooling would be heaven so my family and I decided to start homeschooling. Don't get me wrong, homeschooling as A LOT of perks but I absolutely HATE being alone all the time and without a social life! I'd do ANYTHING to have a group of friends to go out and have fun with.
In a way, I made a HUGE boo-boo by deciding to start homeschooling. There are days when I feel so lonely and depressed from lack of friends I start getting crazy thoughts in my head about turning to drugs and sh! T to make me feel better.
I know EXACTLY how you feel! You aren't the only one who feels lonely and left out due to homeschooling. When I tell people about my loneliness, they tell me to join stuff.
Well join WHAT? What the hell IS there to join and can help me meet friends? This isn't the 1900s anymore where kids can meet friends by just walking in the park.
We live in a cold society today where all everyone is interested in is caring for themselves. NOBODY is looking to just "meet friends" today! It's just one of the sad truths of being homeschooled and living in a sh!
Tty society. I wish you the best of luck in finding friends and please don't feel like you're the only one! You're absolutely NOT!
I feel for you. Get involved in some sort of club. Sports.
Church. Preferable something local so you can walk or ride your bike or use some other, similar mode of transportation to get there. Maybe you can try to hitch rides with a relative or friend.
If your parents don't like the idea, calmly explain to them how ridiculous it is that they won't take you anywhere themselves yet when you try to take action, suddenly they won't allow it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
