Does keeping seperate internet windows open use more data than keeping tabs open?

1 If you mean memory, it seems to be 6 of 1, half a dozen of another. I've seen Firefox use up a lot of memory the more tabs that are open. And apparently, that memory quite often isn't released when you close tabs.

The longer Firefox is open, apparently more memory is used. If you mean streaming data, every browser tab or browser window open can be getting ads served to it along with cookies reporting on you and other programs that may be running from the site such as page refreshes, etc. The Drudge Report, for example, keeps streaming new ads every minute or so. Some sites seem to constantly be doing something.

The best advice is to close tabs and windows to sites you're not actively viewing.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
