Honestly, unless you can support yourself if your Dad suddenly stops giving you money for college-related things, then I would just go with the Business major for a bit longer until you find something that you like and/or get a part-time job. And if you are stuck with the Business major, look on the bright side - you can literally apply it to *any* job! There is no job in the world that does not involve business!
Are there any clubs on campus that interest you? Any organizations you admire or could volunteer for? Any job that you've always wanted?
TV Broadcasting is not as fun or exciting as you might think it is. My boyfriend got a degree in Television Broadcasting in 2008 and he now works in shipping because he can't find a TV job. When you first start out, most TV stations want you to work crazy hours like 4 am or 11pm to whenever.
They mostly offer part-time jobs to newcomers, so it is very hard to find a full-time TV job without experience. It is also ridiculously hard to get a job as an anchor. My boyfriend tried this and he was rejected .
. . Because he has a receding hairline.
No joke. My dad was really strict (and verbally/physically abusive) when I was growing up, but the best thing I've found to do is to show your dad that you can stand on your own two feet. If you can, get a part-time job (on-campus ones are excellent - flexible hours and no driving!) and do some volunteer work, join a club, etc. The sooner you can show your dad that you are a real adult, then he will start taking you a bit more seriously.
You should also be grateful that he gives you any financial support at all. Be sure to thank him for that. My dad never gave me a dime until I was 21.
Didn't read all of it but listen, do what you want to do. Its your life not his. He just wants you to make tons of cash which respectable since he's wasting all of his money to pay for YOUR education.
Since you already hate it GET OUT OF IT . And fast. Youre going to hate your job for your entire life.
If he doesn't wanna hear you just change your classes without him knowing then. And when he finds out tell him you tried telling him but he would listen! You need to persist on talking to him.
Ask him if he wants you to be miserable at your job? Thats even if you pass. Ask his if he wants to keep paying for you to keep failing classes that you completely hate?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
