VR offices are in 'another town' but so is access to your records. They can still access it. If you were coerced into doing something you didn't like by the counselor you now have, talk with your protection and advocacy org for your state.
You don't have to go to another town. Doing this without understanding your rights and protections as a consumer is not going to resolve your issue. Possible options include Talking things out with the existing counselor-mediation Switching counselors Switching offices in the same city (if there is more than one office).
My state vocational rehabilitation office only lets you switch area offices under limited circumstances---as in there are no available counselors in the area field office to take your case over. But you would have to file a complaint first. You yourself have to document why you need a new counselor--and then clarify why the other counselors in the field office cannot take over the case.
Yes, you need to go to the protection and advocacy org for your state. They have a client assistance program set up specifically for people receiving VR services/who believe they should receive VR services.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
