Being both religious and superstitious today is not easy. The West, thanks to the French Enlightenment and rapid civilization building, has abandoned the mythical aspects of religion but kept its ethics, which it justifies on the claim that morals are universal. This means that if you happen to be a non-progressive priest who practices witchcraft, believes in myths, and excludes people from your tribe because they look funny, you're likely to get your ass kicked by the UN (and then sodomized by the multinationals who want your land).
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the killing of albinos in Tanzania because of witchcraft. At least 45 albinos have been killed in the past two years in murders linked to witchcraft, including a teenage girl whose legs were chopped off in the country's north last week. The practice has also been reported in neighbouring Burundi, where a six-year-old boy was dismembered this week.
At first this may seem like an obvious case of superstition ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
