I seriously doubt it... An old mp3 player I had ran on a AA battery and it quoted 50 hours playback, but it didn't say at what bit rate. I encode at 192kHz VBR and I would get at least 50 hours out of the battery. This player also worked with Ogg Vorbis encoded files, and I did read somewhere battery life was less when playing these files as the algorithm is more complex than mp3.So perhaps bit rate is not an issue, just the format.
Ripping has no effect on battery life. The Variable or Constant Bit Rate does not affect your battery life in the MP3 player. Changing the volume, searching, and other like functions do however deplete your battery.
The VBR and CBR indicate which speed your particular track is playing, but the speed of the tune has no effect on battery power. Sources: OPINION: No, it does not.
Yep. Gher bitrates means your player has to do more processing to convert the data back to sound. So yes, that will drain your battery faster..
1 Thank you for the input, I appreciate it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
