Does Ted Cruz's attempt to indoctrinate you kids with a coloring book show his true desperation?

For any citizen of any party who opposes legislation being debated, we look to our representatives and senators to represent our point of view and do what is necessary to prevent that legislation. If the Republicans were able to put forth a bill to repeal Roe v Wade, would you not look to your liberal representatives to put up a strong opposition to that bill? If they were successful in defeating it, would you not count that as an achievement?

Wouldn't you think that achievement were more magnified the stronger the support for the bill initially? Cruz is a freshman senator and is being criticized for having the same lack of executive experience as Obama, even by the Wall Street Journal editorial board which is decidedly conservative. He did sponsor a bill that prevented representatives to the UN who are believed to be spies or terrorists from entering the country.

This bill passed unanimously and signed into law. The context of this passage is notable - there are only four Republican Senators in this Congress who have had more than one bill passed into law. He introduced 25 bills in the 113th Congress, and 10 more in the current session.

He has given 217 speeches on the floor of the Senate, which makes him the fifth most active Senate floor speaker. He is very active in the Senate, very outspoken, more successful than most in introducing bills and in getting them passed. http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/2371...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
