As one senior British army officer once said about Bloody Sunday in Derry, "it was a break down in public relations" double speak, side winding down sizing down grading. I've been downsized down graded and surplus to requirements a few times, you are right it is insulting to hear bullshit as an excuse and i've never asked why apart from once "why am I getting the chop when theres wasters scratching their balls smoking over there?" it doesn't stop the sting. Restraints in the public sector, its a nice spin on things.
In the North of Ireland we have to slash 80 million from the public sector, my kid sister and missus both work in the public sector but the rates still comes out of our bank accounts every month for a piss hole dirty street that's rarely cleaned. But double speak is part of a politicians remit, they can afford to bullshit as their jobs are safe.
What can I say, except ...remember her answer when polling day arrives and vote accordingly, that is the way to get the truth out of the liars and squirmers IF she was working for you she should ANSWER to you if only your life were as Rosy. We are the ones who work to pay the taxes, we are the ones who fight on the front lines ...we the ordinary plebs. They unfortunately have to face the electorate from a new front in media terms, that front is the internet...herein lies a looming challenge...politicians will soon seek control of the net...mark my words... be prepared to do your utmost to deny ANY type of bureaucrat the chance to remove this powerful voice.
They already monitor the net and phones for terrorist info, a tweak her and there and it could well fall under bureaucratic control. I would sooner fight for my right to have a free voice on the net than vote for another bloody MP.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
