The phone doesn't come with the D-Board and it isn't something we usually stock. There are two partitions in the Openmoko Phone. The main working partition is called NAND flash and is 256 MB.
There is a recovery partition on the NOR flash which is 2 MB. It is currently not possible to write to the NOR flash without a debug board. As such, one can always boot from the NOR flash to be able to update the software and image on the NAND flash.
The D-Board is generally not necessary unless people are developing u-boot (the boot loader on the NOR and NAND flashes) or doing extremely advanced kernel delopment/debugging. All of the flashing that is required to update the kernel and base software can be done by booting up into the NOR flash. More.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
