Yesterday I asked a question about Christmas traditions, and I realized my family has many of them! However, we don't really have any Thanksgiving traditions, save for eating too much. ;~) What about your family?

The Package Game Mine plays this strange game after dinner. It is called the package game. Everyone brings small packages.
Usually they are dollar store type things but sometimes they are regifted things that are bigger. You wrap them and they all get put in the center of a table. A pair of dice circulate from person to person around the table.
Everyone gets to role. If you get doubles you get to pick a package. This happens until all the packages have been distributed.
Now the supposed fun begins. A timer gets set and now when people role the dice, if you get doubles you get to steal from anyone else that you want to take a package from. The timer is based on the number of people.
Our group is about 15 and they do the timing segment in about 10 minutes. Everyone goes really fast there is a lot of yelling involved. They all love it.
They have played this for 40 years every Thanksgiving. ( I am not so fond of this game actually) .
Thanksgiving traditions We have Thanksgiving traditions by naming the turkey every year and writting it on the wall by the doorway of the garage. We deepfry and bake a turkey every year. OMG it so good deep fried, you have to find someone who know how to do this..
1 Unfortunately yes: String bean and mushroom soup casserole, or as I like to call it: creamed moose boogers. The single ghastliest dish this side of radioactive Twinkies.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, my beloved friends and family ...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
