Hi. Honestly, I've seen dogs who were tied out on clotheslines many times here in Tennessee, and I've seen them both ways, but mostly with a collar. I think it really depends on whether your dog is used to a collar.
If so, a collar is fine. When dogs are not used to one when being walked, then when on a tie-out, they tend to want to run sometimes so hard that they will literally stop themselves so suddenly that they almost choke themselves and will flip over. Of course, part of that is also learning their boundaries.
As I said, I kind of prefer collars, but I would use a harness with a hook on the top of the back if the dog would have a tendency to run a lot and not learn boundaries quickly.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
