This is just what happens, we have the fans of two popular fighters who are rivals when they have never fought, there is no sort of closure on the issue and each side wants to say that there guy is better but can't actually prove it in a concrete way. Sadly it boils down to a never ending contest of fans trying to discredit the other guy in any way they can, it's petty but this is the internet so no one can ever really be at fault because it is so easy to wrap yourself in the veils of anonymity here and then as we've all seen people will say the most hateful sh! T they can think of.
I guess through all of this the trolls find some sort of catharsis because they think they are besting the opposing side, or they're just a bunch of A$$holes, I don't know. Point is as it's always been that when this happens it ruins the site for everyone but the trolls.
The danger is in lumping everyone together which everyone seems to be doing. And all these speculations about troll accounts! I don't know why certain troll accounts need to be attributed to certain top contributors.
For all we know, the troll accounts might be from totally new users. I have a feeling this is how all wars start. People seem to have some need to lash back, and if they don't know against whom, then they'll just lash back at anybody who disagrees with them.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
