DS: If you were a American Pit Bull Terrier how would you feel?

I love every single Bully Breed. :) My reason? Well, I know the facts.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dogpassion/... If you see my little collage about BSL and stuff... you'll know how I feel about BSL, APBTs, Bully Breeds, PETA, everything... I like American Pit Bull Terriers because, frankly, I know they aren't "vicious bloody baby killers". APBT are one of the most mis-understood, and sadly, the most ABUSED dog breed out there. Honestly, I am surprised they all aren't ugly Razoredge/Gotti/Greyline mongrels, either that or they aren't all eradicated.

I am happy they aren't though, because before I educated my father, my mother, my NEIGHBORHOOD (yes, *I* run an ANTI-BSL group) everyone thought they were a dog that will turn on anyone, any second, no reason needed. I helped pass city law in our area. Know what that is?

It was supposed to be a BSL Law, that means my dogs would have to have been killed... (said so in the law thing). However... people voted NO. I am pretty damned proud.

Ignorance is horrible, and frankly, sad. True APBTs are gorgeous, and have wonderful temperaments if well-bred. With that being said, not many reputable breeders are here for this gorgeous, wonderful breed.

That is why you have to pick carefully, people MUST know that APBT are NOT for the in-experienced. Pretty much any Bully or Molosser Breed for that matter. Over 2o breeds are being mistaken for the Pit Bull, how do they even have BSL if they don't even KNOW what one to ban?

Either way, it's wrong, but there's no reason to ban a dog for OUR doing. A child is 1oo times likely to be killed by it's own mother than a dog. I guess we should just ban AAAALLLLL mothers now huh?

Right? WE SHOULD! , LET'S PASS A LAW.

"'Edit: Well Boxers may not be a "bully" breed, they are lumped in with the "pit bull types" according to some BSL areas." So are Herding Breeds, Working Breeds, Terrier Breeds (think Manchester and JRT), practically every group of dog you can think of. It's really sad.

APBT's are my favorite breed of dogs. They won't even allow any " Bully type breeds" in my local town, and I think it's dumb.. BSL.. Any dog can bite or attack, When I was littler I used to think that People ban the " Bully type breeds" because they have heard so many things about them like fighting or attacking children- adults. Half the time that isn't even the dog's fault the owner should have been watching or at least trained the dog to be social ( if not already).

It could of even been the kid/teenager/adults fault. And then people who only care about money put APBT's and " Bully type breeds" into dog fights and that probably gets people thinking even more about this breed They probably even think: Them dogs are dangerous. They are dangerous because the people who bred them bred them to fight.

Not all APBT's and " Bully type breeds" are dangerous, some weren't bred to fight they were bred to keep company of human beings. People listen and read story's on "Bully type breed" attacks and then people probably automatically think " Oh. Wow them dog's should be put to sleep".

Or " Wow. Dog's like that should be banned". They probably know nothing about the breed other dogs attack people its not just ONE breed.

I read a question The breed Pit Bulls should be eliminated they are mean and they attack. I was about to respond "Well then almost every dog should be ELIMINATED. It's not just APBT's who attack every dog can/will/or does." ( I have nothing against these dog's I am about to list, I like every breed, this is just an example that any dog can attack.

300,000 results. 3) Type in: Jack Russell kills baby. 348,000.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
