The kenyan mall attack was perform by a group called al-shabaab or soemthing similar to that which from what I hear has ties to al qaeda. I think not only do these groups publicly announce when they attack but also HUMINT or human intelligence ( gathering information, spying, recognizing faces and style of attacks, weapons, etc, etc, etc) could all lead officials into determining who was responsible.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
