You might just have a terminology issue here; Instead of thinking of 'embedding' something in the image - think instead of having a containing div wrapped around the video, with the image in question as the background. Then just use CSS to position the video within the div.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
