It is not necessary to have a Role table but you need to have a composite key in PersonRole table. I not familiar with VB.net so hope you can convert this into VB.net.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
