Epi Pens Yes, you can bring an epi pen on board with you, according to the TSA. The information is for diabetes but it would have to apply to other situations as they don't know if you have diabetes or allergies! "Notify the Security Officer that you have diabetes and are carrying your supplies with you.
The following diabetes-related supplies and equipment are allowed through the checkpoint once they have been screened: Insulin and insulin loaded dispensing products (vials or box of individual vials, jet injectors, biojectors, epipens, infusers, and preloaded syringes; " All medications in any form or type (for instance, pills, injectables, or homeopathic) and associated supplies (syringes, Sharps disposal container, pre-loaded syringes, jet injectors, pens, infusers, etc. ) are allowed through the security checkpoint once they have been screened. Atropens, an auto-injection system that can help treat many emergency conditions (low heart rate, breathing problems, and excess saliva related to insecticide, nerve gas or mushroom poisoning) are also allowed." tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds... I would transport it in a clear plastic bag, just to be safe!
Have fun, where ever you are going! *Poppet*'s Recommendations MedOrganize .
Remember to take your prescription with you. If you need an Epi Pen you probably should have it close to you and not in your checked luggage. LIke all medication, you should carry a copy of your prescription with you to help with the hassle at security..
We most definitely carry them onto the airplane I would most definitely NEVER check them! (At least in our case, we need to be able to administer the epipen within minutes. ) If security gives you trouble, demand to talk to a supervisor, at least they should now, many people carry epipens these days.

1 diamondcollie, regarding your answer "we most definitely carry them onto the airplane": Okay, thanks. That's what I was thinking. Before I've had security at a courthouse make me take it out and *demonstrate* how to use it.It was, honestly, like the guy had never seen one before.

2 Poppet, regarding your answer "Epi Pens": Thanks! It's a business trip where someone else planned the menu and seems to have completely ignored my food allergies and other people's dietary restrictions. This is okay for the most part because I can just go eat elsewhere. My concern is a dinner cruise has also been booked.
It *looks* like I'll be okay, but I don't want a nasty surprise out in the ocean.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
