Ethical Hacking(Book to learn) [closed]?

There is no handbook for "Ethical Hacking". All those books with titles like "Learn Hacking" and "Hacking for Dummies" are bull**. If you want to work in Security field, then first decide which domain do you want to work in - Network Security Information Security (Mainly procedural - ISO 27001 and stuff) Pen Testing Application Security (Finding bugs in code - related to Pen Testing) For Network Security - Start with Unix/Linux books.

Then proceed to books about networking, TCP/IP etc. After that proceed to books like "Securing UNIX" or "Securing your network". For Information Security (Procedural) - Books recommended by CISSP. Pen Testing - It is in your blood.

:-) Still if you want to try, you can start with installing BackTrack or nBuntu. Start cracking your home WiFi and then proceed. These skills take time.

(I am not into Pen Testing, but I know people) Application Security - Become a master of programming language. Remember all of these takes time. The best time to learn all this stuff is when you are in college.

P. S - I used to be a freelance Information Security consultant.

I'm anxiously waiting for the Metasploit book by No Starch Press. I'm a big fan of their titles and I think there aren't any good quality books written about the Metasploit Framework. nostarch.com/metasploit.htm.

Even I am waiting for it. – Jagira Feb 25 at 4:47.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
