Even though most people know that there is not a god, why do they say they believe in one?

I can think of three plausible scenarios: 1) Humanity kills itself off over the next couple hundred years (I can think of two ways this might be done). 2) Humanity *almost* kills itself off over the next couple hundred years (I can think of numerous ways this might be done), at which point, civilization will have to be rebuilt over decades or centuries, and then we'll have the same three scenarios again. 3) Humanity will survive the next couple hundred years, and will then continue indefinitely (although almost certainly in a completely different way than we exist today).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
