Explain the importance of gateway in computer networks?

A gateway is the way out of the network, every device should be properly configured to know where this device is. Most likely in your home, the gateway will be the router. Gateways look after NAT - Network Address Translations from private to public networks.

This allows more than one machine in a private network to share one public IP address. You can read more about this in my Hub here, have fun. hubpages.com/hub/19216811-What-IP-Addres....

It is the gateway between two or more networks. It has to be up to whatever level of traffic is involved and should have security features and fast switching ability. Kind of like the operator.

There are a lot of variations and depends upon the traffic volume to a large degree.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
