1 I reject your premise. Or at the very least, I think it needs clarification. "Family" being the people you happen to be genetically related to, are no where near the top of my list.
They are people I see a couple times a year out of sense of tradition. "Family" being the people who raised you, who you grew up with, are different, and depending on your relationship, might be at the top of my list. "Family" being the person you chose to spend your life with and those you chose to produce and raise, are 100% at the top of the list.
That clarification being made, it is most likely that a friend in need would come before the first definition, quite possible that they might come before the second, and at least a chance they would come ahead of the last definition, depending on specific circumstance.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
