I like firefox It supposed to be safer, that's what everyone says, and I find it to be sufficient. I don't dislike IE, except I find it slow sometimes, and its hard to regulate the add-ons, which I tend to hate (add-ons that is). Actually I hate that its hard to remove the pre-settings like Bing instead of Google, and all the other microsoft stuff.
I tried Chrome. But the first 2/3 times I used it on my Vista run laptop, it crashed. Granted my wireless was acting up.
Firefox was loading really slowly, so I decided to try Chrome. And it crashed. At least firefox worked, though slowly.
Also, IE and Firefox are left side oriented, while Chrome is right side oriented. After 12 years of looking to the left side for lists, I found Chrome disorienting, and it takes me longer to figure out how to do things. This probably could change, but I haven't taken the time to search for how to do it.
Which is the very thing that I don't like about it, I have to search.
Firefox is by far the best browser because of all the addons and features. Opera vs chrome.
I have strayed from IE, but if I had to, I would use it. However, for what I do from day to day on the internet, I prefer Firefox and Chrome I usually use Chrome for basic browsing. I also use it for whenever I want to watch streaming content.
It's not because chrome is better at it; it's just a preference. What I love about Chrome is that it masquerades as a simple browser, but hidden in its corners and whatnot are all the features you expect in a browser. My favorite feature of Chrome is the most visited pages tab. Firefox is my workhorse.
When I want to multitask with about 20 tabs at a time, check my e-mail, read my rss feeds, I use firefox. Firefox also has pretty much any add-on you can imagine for anything you want to personalize your browsing experience. I have not ignored other browsers.
I have used Safari and Opera, and they are not enough for me.
I also loved Chrome's minimal interface. Most browsers have two input bars at the top—an address bar and a search box. Chrome has one.
Type in an address or a search term and Chrome will figure out what you want. Indeed, Chrome does something even better—it gives you search results right in the bar. Type in "jd salinger" and the first result in the drop-down list is the Wikipedia entry on Salinger.
