No "scientific test," at all, but a benchmark: My bottle of hydrogen peroxide in my bathroom is not price-marked, so on the web I found it at $55 for one gallon, 35%, food grade. Bleach? The bottle in my laundry room, one gallon, is marked --- oops!
No price marked. On the web at this price: On a recent Sunday at Stop & Shop, a gallon of Clorox bleach was $1.29 for the regular customer, 88 cents for the Stop & Shop cardholder. A box of granola went from $2.99 to $2.50 with the card; a cucumber went from 59 cents to 34 cents.
More.
