It's hard to put into words exactly why Fisher-Price has such timeless charm. Perhaps it's the bright colors and smiles. Maybe it's the cute miniature versions of society.

Perhaps it's reasons too numerous to list. In any case, Fisher Price truly does have the power to brighten a rainy day. Once again, Toyfest is right around the corner!

I did for a while... and have a good sized collection. I had been collecting it and saving it for when I had kids. Now my 4 & 5 year olds play with the little people.

I just loved to play with my little people as a child, so I wanted to give my kids that experience. It gives them a way to use their imagination! I have sold a bunch of it on ebay over the last few years, trying to make some space as it took up so much room in my attic.

There are a few sets I will not part with - at least for a long time: Yellow house, camper, pop-up camper, school, village, houseboat, plus all the people and accessories (and extras). I recently sold the a-frame house, which I loved. I also have a few pull toys that I've collected, but I keep them put away.(alligator, grandpa frog, older dog) How about you?(And how many people on askville do you think know what FPLP is outside of this question?) :) .

1 I have been collecting FP for a few years now, only vintage. I have quite a bit of it, mostly Little People. I also collect other vintage items/ toys.

Pretty much anything that I had as a kid. I think all of it is so awesome. When little ones come over, I pull some of them out and they are attracted to them because these aren't any of the toys that they, or their friends, have.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
