I would assume short visits not to exceed a month would keep parent in legal parameters as far as child support is concerned. On the other hand, legal custody is what that paper says. That can only be changed in Family Court with you or father's request of custody change.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
