The reason you never got college scouts in your area is because there are no college scouts. That, you would know if you REALLY played football, but you don't. You won't stand a chance at any level because college coaches don't like players who lie about their stats.
Get real. Bob - Yes it is true. They aren't the college's scouts.
They aren't employed by the colleges. Most of those "scouts" are self appointed blow hards (you know what they, that's obvious), anyway, little credibility with coaches. When would a recruiter (a college coach) go see a high school player play?
The talent judging is done by camps, combines, coach recommendations, and video. When would a coach get to see a high school player, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night? LOL!
This ain't 1965.
Yeah usually schools will have a day or two of open try-outs for walk-ons. You just need to contact the school to find out a date and time, and probably talk to one of the coaches beforrehand to say you'd like to try out.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
