Heaven and hell are both permanent but we all have a choice. Repentance of our sins an complete trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior leads to HEAVEN. Do nothing it's hell.
God bless.
Catholics have a different understanding. Those who endure until the end are saved through Jesus their reward is the beatific vision of God in the Kingdom of Heaven. It's impossible for people to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven without the heavenly gift of the Holy Spirit which is Jesus within themselves.
Paradise also called the Bosom of Abraham is a lower paradise which is not the Kingdom of Heaven the Western Church called it Limbo of the Fathers this is where the just who lived before the advent of Jesus resided before they were delivered into the Kingdom of Heaven. The Limbo of the Fathers no longer exists. Of course there is mortal sin (sin which is deadly) and venial sin (sin which is not deadly) being that not all sin is equal to God, even if mortal sin is repented for there still remains debt.
And what is attached to sin is consequence it's like committing a crime has consequence for the crime which was committed. As you know some prisoners can be rehabilitated in which they serve their time and are released back into society this is no different than the consequence of temporal punishment. Because of the unhealthy attachment to their sins prevents them from entering into the Kingdom of Heaven or before the advent of Jesus Limbo of the Fathers which is why there is a final purification or Purgatory after death.
Of course there are also prisoners whom poss to much of a threat to society to ever be released from prison so they either are executed or locked away for life this would be equivalent to the consequence of eternal punishment of Hell for the condemned. Mortal Sin = Consequence of Eternal Punishment and Temporal Punishment Venial Sin = Consequence of Temporal Punishment If you want to know why Islam is similar to Catholicism because much of what they base their afterlife upon came from the Catholic Church.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
