There are many but one of the most valuable is the 1-watt chip amplifier design. Each and every 5100 system outputs has a separate 1 watt chip amplifier. This allows each classroom to receive its own page, intercom call, class change tone, or music selection without affecting other rooms or portions of the building.
Since the basic architecture has 8 communication paths, 8 simultaneous audio functions can be supported. Most of the competition provides one all call amp used for paging or music distribution allowing only one thing to happen at a time. Also, if the classroom wiring gets shorted out, only that one classroom stops functioning.
The rest of the rooms and areas continue to receive pages, class change tones etc. If there is only one all call amplifier in the system (your competition) that one short circuit will stop any all call page or zone page, which includes that room from working. More.
