I agree with you hon. Try talking to your mum, ask her what she would do in your situation. Ask her if she is really willing to take the chance, there is no proof that he won't hurt your children, but there is no proof that he will...yet since she is a parent, just explain that you are not willing to take the chance.

You are the mother at the end of the day and it is your decision that matters and she has to respect this. She will feel hurt and confused because of everything that has happened, and probably feels very responsible for how he turned out, but don't let her sway you. You and your mum would never forgive yourselves if something bad happened to the twins because of him.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
