Free apps for 8gb ipod touch 1st generation?

An ipod touch can only communicate via wifi (internet as you call it). That's all it's hardware is capable of. It does not connect to the phone network.

That is not an app issue. It's a hardware limitation. So you must connect through wifi and use an app like textfree.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
