Friend raped by her husband dad. It's a silent issue she's hesitating to tell? Why? suggestions?

Dad is a predator. If she does not do something it will not stop! Liz needs to decide if she is willing to put her own safety, health and sanity above her husbands feelings about his Dad.

If she thinks she is doing hubby a favor by allowing him to believe all is well she is not. How will hubby feel when he comes home to a dead or seriously hurt wife only to find out that his dad was the perpetrator, or how will he feel when she eventually gets feed up and files for a divorce because I promise one of these 2 things will happen. No she needs to for everyones benefit speak up before it gets so bad that she can't.

If she can't tell her own husband there's already something wrong with the marriage.

As honest and simple as that sounds Liz is actually afraid. Liz wants here husband and is willing to allow this heart ache its almost as if dad perdicted this. Dad had to have analyzed this situation.

He found a good target and then threatened her. I suggested that she tell also. Liz is so in a shock it's almost as if she needs to see phycological help.

Some type of way Liz needs to be convinced that telling is the appropiate approach.

If the son really loves her he will believe her. Then again you say father and son are really close, maybe they decided to share. Why else would he disrespect his son like that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
