Republican mouthpiece and all-round blowhard Rush Limbaugh formulated Republican policy over two years ago, that he wante Obama to fail. Since DC GOP lawmakers are afraid of the Fat Man (I don't mean the bomb), they're doing and saying everything they possibly can to make that happen - even if it means contradicting themselves, or abandoning long-held principles... like shooting and/or bombing anyone that doesn't speak American. It's only now that cost is a factor in a issue of freedom - a 180-degree turnaround from 28 months ago when Bush was able to go to the Capitol and ask for 3 or 4 hundred billion bucks to finance a few more months of his bloody bungling.
It's simply part of the GOP program to block everything that Obama does, even if it shows GOP incompetence, lack of leadership, and total abscence of a policy. They wanted the focus on their herculean efforts to reduce the deficit between vacations, which they have been unable to do.
I think the cons on the board are attempting to point out that for all the Bush bashing, the current 'messiah' administration is in no better a position to end all war, famine, pestilence, and human strife than the 'evil' last administration. I'm not a Republican mind you but, didn't Bush consult with the US congress, the UN, and NATO before going into Afghanistan and then again before Iraq? Its been awhile, I could be a bit fuzzy on the details but, I do remember something about a Dixie chick...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
