A good essay intro grabs the reader without sounding too cliche or stupid and helps to set up the rest of your essay. You should begin with basic information, for instance: "In George Orwell's political satire, Animal Farm...". Then perhaps describe the main themes and the purpose of the book.
Don't address the dogs and the KGB specifically until the end of your introduction, as this will help to bring your introduction to a good thesis statement and you can save the more detailed analysis for the actual body of the essay. The introduction should ultimately end in a thesis statement that will assert some sort of claim about the book. Basically, just give some good background info and set up what you will be writing about for the rest of the essay and then state the main point or claim of your essay in the last part of your introduction.
Hope this helped!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
